A Liberal Democrat peer has called for the government to introduce a commemorative 'Windrush Day'. Floella Benjamin, who was born in Trinidad, told The Westminster Hour: "It'll give people the opportunity to discover about their history and for people of Caribbean heritage to feel as if they are appreciated, they do belong to this great nation and it's so essential and important that this happens."
