Whitney: what does the official new documentary reveal?
Whitney Houston’s enormous success - and her death aged 48 after years of drug addiction - has been the subject of two films: director Nick Broomfield’s Can I Be Me? and now, Oscar-winner Kevin Macdonald’s Whitney, made with the approval of her family.
Film writer Grace Barber-Plentie discusses Macdonald’s new film, which features intimate home videos and also alleges the singer was sexually abused as a child.
British choreographer Arlene Phillips, who made two videos with Houston, remembers working with the star during her meteoric rise to fame.
