With the Henley Royal Regatta under way on the banks of the river Thames, we hear where the weird and wonderful tradition of the rowing blazer began.
Jack Carlson has won at Henley and he's written a book all about, he told Bridgitte Tetteh more.
Jack Carlson:
"Everybody owns a blazer no matter where you're from, but what people don't understand is that they actually came from the sport of rowing.
"At Henley you can still see some of the Coxes where their blazers while they're racing.
"It was the world's first sport uniform in many ways...they had to be brightly coloured so that you could tell which club was which."
