Sunday Gardening Events

SUNDAY 29th JULY
Open Allotments 2-5pm Sunday 29 July, 19/21 Homesdale Road, Petts Wood, raising funds for St Christopher's Hospice.

Everyone is welcome to look round the 35 plots of fruit, flowers and vegetables, and to chat to the allotment holders. There is good wheelchair access. We will have a plant and fresh produce stall, as well as a raffle, tombola and scarecrow competition. The tea tent provides visitors with shelter from sun (or rain!) where you can enjoy a drink and homemade cake, accompanied by live music from our regular keyboard player. Entry 拢3, children free.

WEDNESDAY 1st AUGUST
Great Mongeham Horticultural Society will be holding their monthly meeting in the Parish Hall, commencing at 7.30pm. The guest speaker will be Melanie Gibson-Barton, who will be talking about Parks and Gardens in Flanders. The members competition is for a jug of home grown flowers. Visitors and new members are always welcome.

Hawkinge and District Gardeners Society will be holding their monthly meeting on Wednesday 1st August at the Hawkinge Village Hall 7-30 pm. The speaker is Jude Lawton and her subject will be Ferns for your Garden. Members and visitors are very welcome.

Shadoxhurst Flower Club - we meet on the first Wednesday of each month, 7.30pm at Shadoxhurst Village Hall, TN26 1HT - This Wednesday there's a Workshop with Angela (Floral Handbag). Followed by fish and chip supper.

Leeds & Broomfield Amateur Gardeners Society Summer Show is at St Nicholas Church Leeds from 2.30pm Admission Free. there will be Refreshments.Come and see some excellent exhibits in this lovely old Church. Prize giving at 4 o'clock
