大象传媒 Minute: On the end of Turkey's state of emergency
The two-year state of emergency imposed by Turkey's government has ended. The powers were introduced following a failed attempt to overthrow the government in 2016, during which nearly 250 people died.
Since then, 80,000 people have been arrested, with many alleged to be supporters of the exiled Islamic cleric Fethullah Gulen, who was accused by the government of plotting the overthrow.
The 大象传媒's Turkey correspondent Mark Lowen assesses the lifting of restrictions by President Erdogan.
