How world heritage sites influence the arts

Mary Anne welcomes Emmy award-winning composer Michael Price to talk about his latest collaboration with The National Trust.

Michael Price joins us for our Nature season to talk about his forthcoming album 'Tender Symmetry.' This aspiring musical project takes in a series of iconic National Trust locations across the UK as its inspiration, turning them into visceral recording spaces.

From the ruins of Fountains Abbey in Yorkshire to the Fan Bay WWII shelter, cut deep into the chalk cliffs of Dover, each historical location has been used as a recording studio using field recordings, sonic melodies and the words of William Blake.
