Rebuilding life with chocolate after the bitterness of Syria's war
How do you pick yourself up after losing everything? The Hadhad family were forced to flee Syria after their chocolate factory in Damascus was destroyed by bombs in 2012. They then spent three years in a refugee camp in Lebanon. But when they moved to Canada their fortunes began to change and they started making chocolate again. First in their basement, then in a small factory, and now their chocolate is going to be sold nationwide. Tareq Hadhad spoke to 大象传媒 Newsday about how his family rebuilt their lives.
