In 2005, cancer specialist Prof David Kerr was commissioned by the then-Labour Government in Holyrood to conduct an in-depth examination of the NHS in Scotland and produce a plan for the future 鈥� the first time clinicians came together to carry out such an investigation, free from political involvement and evidence-based.

In his first interview about the report, Prof Kerr speaks to health journalist Pennie Taylor about compiling the report, its reception and subsequent impact.
