This artist sells paintings of the homeless to help get them off the streets
Brian Peterson is an artist based in Santa Ana, California. He paints vibrant portraits of homeless people and rough sleepers in his home town, and uses the proceeds from the sale of each painting to help get its subject off the streets. Here, we meet two of the people who have sat for Brian’s portraits: ex drug addict and gang member Kim who has turned her life around, and ‘Stevie Boy’, who is about to be painted for the first time.
