Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish challenges MP Chi Onwurah’s view of Newcastle owner Mike Ashley. Onwurah has submitted a petition to Parliament, claiming the club needs to improve its player recruitment, training facilities and community engagement. But Parish insists club owners need to be prudent with their spending and believes Ashley ‘is not taking any money out of Newcastle United Football Club as a profit.’ The Palace co-owner thinks there are a lot worse owners than Ashley, warning Onwurah and fellow fans should ‘be careful what you wish for.’
