Why I talk to lonely older people
Lauren has had conversations about everything from benefits, the Royal Wedding and whether aliens are coming!
She works as a call adviser for The Silver Line, a charity which takes calls from lonely older people.
The charity currently answers over ten thousand calls a week, but rising demand for the service means raising enough funds is a challenge.
Speaking to Radio 5 Live, Lauren says she believes the service is invaluable for older people because they "might not have family they can turn to, or friends. So if we can be here for older people, it's really something that they need."
