There aren't many people know more about the history of Windsor Castle than Dr. Steven Brindle, who recently released his comprehensive history of Windsor Castle.

Dr Steven Brindle:

"We thought what is really needed is a narrative history which talks about the building and also about the people, and that is what we've eventually done.

"I had a royal household pass and I did quite a bit of snooping.

"The royal household were very good for the project to happen...in fact I worked on the post fire restoration project."
