YMCA: How it changed the lives of three young people
Three young men: Tyler, Kieran and Joe share their stories of how the YMCA 鈥 the world鈥檚 oldest youth charity 鈥 transformed their lives from a troubled childhood to a potentially bright future.
They each told 大象传媒 Radio 5 Live鈥檚 Nihal Arthanayake how a horticultural course at the YMCA helped provide focus, education, support and friendship.
Aged 16-19, they each discuss their upbringings, the challenges they face and how they hope to overcome them.
Joe told Nihal: 鈥淚鈥檓 about half way up the mountain on who I want to be. I feel like I鈥檓 at home and welcome.鈥
