‘It takes a village to raise a child’
Chicago-based teacher LaShonda Carter received a message from one of her former students, 18-year-old Larresha Plummer, asking for bus money so she could attend a job fair.
But she went above and beyond - not only driving Larresha there, but babysitting her one-month-old baby in the car while she handed out CVs.
She recorded a Facebook Live asking others to donate to Larresha - and her act of kindness has gone viral. They’ve been overwhelmed.
And there is a further happy ending: Larresha got a job.
