British Rowing: Grant collects first world medal
Imogen Grant has won her first senior World Championships medal in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
After taking up rowing just four years ago at university, Grant's meteoric rise through the rowing world now encompasses a bronze medal at the World Rowing Championships.
"If you'd told me back in November that I was going to be a bronze medalist at the World Championships, I don't think I would have believed you," Grant told 大象传媒 Radio Berkshire's Jack Winstanley.
"Before I started rowing I thought it was a silly sport because you went backwards!
"I got in the boat the first couple of times and found that I just really enjoyed it."
And Grant admits she will now dedicate some time to university work after spending so much time training this year.
"I've got some work to do!
"I'm definitely having some time off now, which will be nice, to clear my head and have a bit of a reset."
