Author Jacqueline Wilson talks about her new book 'My Mum Tracy Beaker'; 'We All Have Mental Health' resources to help children in schools.

26-years after her first appearance in a book, Tracy Beaker is back. She is now a single mum and the story is told from the perspective of her nine-year old daughter Jess. Dame Jacqueline Wilson, author of the Tracy Beaker series joins Jane to bring us up to date with her new book ‘My Mum Tracy Beaker’.

Today every secondary school in England will be given resources 'We all have mental health' to help encourage children to speak out. From the autumn of 2020, all children of school age will be taught how to build mental resilience as part of a mandatory part of the curriculum. Jaime Smith, director of mental health and wellbeing in schools for the Anna Freud Centre and Rosamund McNeil, assistant general secretary of the National Education Union join Jane.
