Who is the composer behind Doctor Who's dramatic new music?
The science fiction series Doctor Who has enthralled generations of fans in the UK and has gained a following across the world. The new series sees Jodie Whittaker become the first female actress to take on the iconic role. But keen 'Whovians' might have noticed something else different during this week's opening episode...a new take on the classic theme tune.
British-Nigerian composer Segun Akinola was the man tasked with creating the new theme along with the dramatic score running through all the episodes. He told Newsday's Bola Mosuro how he approached the challenge.
