The first thing people often notice about 16-year-old Evie Toombes is the two tubes she has in her nose. That’s because Evie has spina bifida, but most of her symptoms – including chronic pain – can’t be seen. Not that Evie lets the condition stop her educating others about hidden disabilities, or excelling at the thing she loves – competitive show jumping. And her ultimate dream? To compete one day in the Paralympic Games.
