See Me Too: Jum Bahadur Gurung
Jum Gurung ‘JB’ served 22 and a half years in service for the British Army.
For his time and sacrifice, he was awarded a medal for long service and good conduct - one of his fondest memories.
Despite fighting for the British Army, ex-Gurhkas were not allowed to settle in the UK until 2009.
Once settled in Swindon, Jum Gurung has been volunteering in the local community and dedicating his time towards the bigger community as well as being nominated for the ‘Pride of Swindon’ award.
