New sex education proposals in schools - too squeamish to work?
The government鈥檚 not updated guidance on sex education for 18 years. In a law pushed forward by a group of cross party MPs in 2017 it promised to make relationship and sex education compulsory in every school in England for the first time. The consultation on its proposal closed on 7 November 2018 and has been criticised by End Violence Against Women Coalition who say that it鈥檚 too 鈥渟queamish鈥 to work. Their co-director Sarah Green joins Jenni Murray to explain why.
