Grieve 'not surprised' by latest Brexit resignation
Transport Minister Jo Johnson has resigned from the Government, calling for the public to have a fresh vote on Brexit.
The MP, who is Boris Johnson's brother, said it is "imperative" to take the issue back to the people in another referendum because of the gulf in what was offered during the referendum and what is now being tabled.
He voted to remain in the EU while his brother Boris was a leading Brexiteer.
The pro-Remain Conservative MP and former Attorney General, Dominic Grieve, told Radio 4's PM programme that the Brexit deal means "we are going to get very few advantages, and many downsides, including being tied in to Europe economically, without any power to influence the way it develops."
