Skiing solo: Richard Parks' Antarctic adventure
Richard Parks, a former Wales international rugby union player turned extreme endurance athlete is undertaking his toughest challenge yet. He has travelled to Antarctica where he will ski a 1150km solo journey, unsupported and unassisted from the coast of the continent to the South Pole.
He'll be skiing up to 15 and a half hours per day in temperatures as low as minus 35 degrees in a bid to beat his own British record which he set back in 2014.
Well he found a hint of a phone signal - definitely not a hot line - in Antarctica to talk us through his endevour...
