'...I was never petrified scared, but I do get stressed...' - Phil Sharp on this year's Route Du Rhum
He had to battle stormy seas and equipment failures - as well as the physical and mental toil that come with single-handedly taking on a transatlantic sailing race.
But none of that stopped Jersey's Phil Sharp from coming third in the Route Du Rhum - and being crowned Class 40 champion in the contest that took him all the way from St Malo to Guadelope.
Phil is now back in Jersey - and has been sharing his memories of the race with Sportscene's Jenny Mullin.
