Brad Gilbert: I was a 'good influence' on Andy Murray
Brad Gilbert, one of Andy Murray's early coaches, has explained how he contributed to the British player's phenomenal success. Gilbert believes he helped Andy to have faith in his own ability and helped instil the belief that beating the top players like Federer was 'no big deal'. Gilbert also recalls giving Andy some good advice on getting his laundry done! Murray announced ahead of the Australian Open that he would retire from tennis in 2019.
