After Derby reached the FA Cup 4th round, Jose Gomes wants to defeat them in the league.

Derby caused a cup upset by knocking out Premier League Southampton, but Gomes is hoping his side can prevail against the Rams in the Championship.

"They are fighting for different goals," Gomes told 大象传媒 Radio Berkshire's Jack Winstanley. "They are in the top of the table, they are in the play-off positions.

"They are a really good team, they have good players, but we have good players also.

"We are full of hope that we'll achieve our goals by the end of the season."

And Gomes confirmed that clubs are interested in purchasing defender Tiago Ilori this transfer window.

"It's true that Sporting [Lisbon] want Tiago Ilori.

"For me it's a normal situation... it's normal that the big clubs and the important clubs want big and important players."
