Clementine Crawford was told she could no longer sit alone in her favourite restaurant in New York because she might be mistaken for an escort. The article she wrote about the experience has struck a chord with other women.
Heather lives in Washington DC and says that when she travels on her own she often ends up eating in her hotel room to avoid the unwanted attention of eating out alone.
