Chrissy and Larissa - Life after Drugs and Prison
Chrissy says she started using drugs in her late twenties - around 1999 - which is the year her daughter, Larissa was born. In 2016 Chrissy went into prison having been found guilty of conspiracy to supply drugs. At the time, Larissa was at college but during her Chrissy鈥檚 prison term Larissa successfully applied for two jobs, learned to drive and did her best to succeed even though she was desperately missing the presence of her mum. Chrissy saw prison as the chance of a fresh start and was determined to make something of herself. She gained catering qualifications and got a job in the prison restaurant. On the day of her release in May 2018 she and Larissa moved in together. Chrissy now works in a cafe and is carrying on with her qualifications. The two are enjoying living together again but are still adjusting to being around each other every day.
