Ex-presidential candidate on next US election
A former presidential candidate has declined to back an individual but wants the Democrat in the 2020 race to be "under 50, or under 55".
Howard Dean said it was "time for a new generation" for the party and it should choose "someone not in my generation".
The former governor, famous for a scream in his 2004 bid for the White House, told Politics Live presenter Jo Coburn that US voters do not vote on issues, but vote on an "emotional connection with the candidate".
