'As a player you want medals, you want trophies, you want to be winning stuff'

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has insisted that winning trophies only "builds egos".

It was a bad week for Spurs as they were knocked out of both the League Cup and Carabao Cup - but they do maintain a healthy position in the league in their quest to secure Champions League football yet again.

For former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes, winning silverware is crucial.
