'Eight to a room and a very lousy shower'
Five defence bases earmarked for closure will now be kept open. The Defence Minister, Tobias Ellwood, told MPs the changes followed "months of rigorous analysis" of the rapidly changing threats faced by the UK. But he warned that some marines were still living eight to a room with a "very lousy shower". David Cornock reports.
