The Nine investigates recovery charges
An investigation by the Nine has revealed allegations that motorists are being overcharged when their cars are towed or removed on behalf of police after an accident or breakdown.
The association of vehicle recovery operators has accused Police Scotland of allowing firms to add additional charges on top of the legal removal cost.
The police say the additional charges are justified and that otherwise charges would be passed on to tax payers.
