Troy Deeney - social media fuels knife crime
Watford captain Troy Deeney says the recent knife crime epidemic is fuelled by social media but parents also need to get hold of their kids and 'make sure they understand the consequences' of their actions. In a wide ranging interview with Garry Richardson on 5 live Sportsweek, which delves into knife crime and gang violence, Deeney adds that parents need to have a more positive influence in their children's lives, so that footballers like himself aren't held up as role models.
