Genevieve talks to John Kirkpatrick about his folk ballad opera Rouse ye Women.
Rouse ye Women is a new folk ballad opera which is the story of Mary MacArthur and the women chainmakers. This week, Genevieve talks to one of the writers, John Kirkpatrick. Also, Mo Bradshaw drops in to talk about this year's Upton on Severn Folk Festival and to play music from some of the artists. The festival, as usual, is on May Bank Holiday weekend, from 3rd to 5th May. Music on CD includes Rachel Hair, Keston Cobblers Club, Leveret and Karine Polwart.
