The Players: Danny Willett

Danny Willett on silencing the critics and his big US move

The 2016 Masters champion Danny Willett is this week’s special guest from Sawgrass ahead of the Players Championship, or the ‘fifth major’ as no one should ever call it. Willett is getting back to his best form after a challenging couple of years with injury - but that massive win in Dubai at the end of last season certainly eased some of the pain. He’s enjoying life over in the US where he now lives in Isleworth, home to a number of big-name golfers and the infamous Tiger Woods’ fire hydrant. Meghan MacLaren wishes she could play all her golf in Australia, where she successfully defended her maiden LET title in New South Wales last week. We also round up the rest of the week’s golfing stories, including Francesco Molinari’s stunning win at Bay Hill, Rory McIlroy’s new podcast...and we still can’t get away from Phil Mickelson’s calves. Also, with this pod now getting the recognition it deserves in Westminster, we thought we’d weigh-in on Brexit*.

*No, we didn’t.
