Almost a week since Cyclone Idai struck southern Africa the devastation is becoming clear. Jennifer Fitchett is senior lecturer in physical geography at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, and considers to what extent the region's infrastructure is resilient to a changing climate.
