Sudan's al-Bashir jailed

Sudan's ex-President Omar al-Bashir is taken into a maximum security jail.

Sudan's ex-President Omar al-Bashir has been taken into Khartoum's Kober Prison, a maximum security jail where until recently he used to lock up political prisoners. We speak to someone who visited the detention centre before, to get a sense of what could be expecting Mr al-Bashir.

A suspected death squad allegedly operating within the Kenyan police force is using Facebook to profile, target and kill young men they believe to be gang members. Pictures of these so-called gangsters dead bodies are then being shared again on Facebook in enclosed groups and viewed hundreds of times.

In the Democratic Republic of Congo, we check on the rescue operations underway to attempt saving the lives of at least 150 people reported missing after a boat capsized on Monday.
