'My hair is how the world sees me'
Several black actors and models want more stylists in their jobs who are capable of caring for their hair.
They say a lack of someone who knows what they are doing, means they have to do it themselves or risk it looking bad or getting damaged. They also point to the imbalance with white colleagues.
大象传媒 Minute's Ayshah Tull has experienced similar situations in her television career.
She spoke to hairstylist Mimi Kone about why the issue shouldn't be dismissed as "just hair".
