British Rowing: Thornley excited for Olympic qualification
Olympic medalist Vicky Thornley is ready to fight ahead of the new competitive season.
She won the British Rowing trials over the Easter weekend, in the women's single event, and is now ready for the new season after spending some time away from racing last year due to injury.
"There's lots of things to improve on, but I'm happy to win trials," Thornley told 大象传媒 Radio Berkshire's Tim Dellor. "It's a big year, with big pressure.
"People bring their A game plus when Olympic qualification spots are up for grabs, so we've all got to be on our top game definitely."
And Thornley says she is still looking after her health carefully after overtraining forced her to pull out of last year's World Championships.
"I'm still feeling like I'm getting better physically...after coming back after having to have a break.
"I feel like I'm still on the upward curve."
