A Charmed Life: The story of Worry Dolls
Worry Dolls are small handmade dolls representing women dressed in traditional Guatemalan textiles, given to children to share secret worries with before bedtime. If you live in the shadow of an active volcano, you have lots to worry about, but can it really help?
Variations of this principle are used in the field of modern child psychology as it is believed to have real therapeutic benefits, but in Guatemala it's a long held tradition passed down through the generations.
