WHO in emergency meeting over Ebola
They decide it is not a global threat
The World Health Organization (WHO) has deciced in an emergency meeting that the Ebola outbreak in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, which has killed about 1,400 people, is not an international public health emergency.
Tanzanian women have reacted with surprise and anger at the news that Finance Minister Philip Mpango is introducing a 25% tax on imported wigs and hair extensions.
And in Sudan, the Transitional Military Council has admitted ordering the break-up of a pro-democracy camp outside the army headquarters in the capital on
3 June but denies allegations the militia raped women, men and children during the attack.
