The deadly cost paid by many migrants trying to reach the US
A photograph has been widely shared that brings home the human cost of the US immigration policy. The photograph shows a father and his little girl lying face down drowned in the Rio Grande. Her tiny arms are still wrapped around her father's neck. They are not the only Latin American migrants to die trying to get to the United States. Newsday's Lawrence Pollard spoke to Julio Cesar Chavez, a reporter for the Reuters news agency covering the story along the border.
