CEO of Kenya鈥檚 most profitable company, Safaricom, passes away at 61.

The Guyanese-born British citizen took a medical leave for treatment for cancer in October 2017 and returned in July 2018.

Bob Collymore took over from Michael Joseph in November 2010 and was head of East Africa鈥檚 biggest telco services provider Safaricom. It posted profits of $619.3m in its most recent financial year.

He spoke with 大象传媒 Money Daily presenter Maya Hayakawa last shortly after Safaricom was named Africa鈥檚 Best Employer by Forbes.
