Why did so many Rwandans convert to Islam?
This week, Rwanda has been marking the 25th anniversary of its genocide.
A quarter of a century on, one of the relatively unknown results of the massacre is the rise of Islam in Rwanda.
Muslims shielded, saved and harboured Tutists as they were chased down by Hutus; where there was once only a handful of believers, it鈥檚 estimated that the Rwandan population is 10% Muslim.
Audrey Brown speaks to Abousalem, who became a Muslim twenty years ago as a direct result of what he saw during the genocide, aged 15. He saw how Christian churches were unable to protect people who had fled to there for safety.
