Joao Gilberto: Father of Bossa Nova

The man behind Brazil's Bossa Nova beat.

The legendary Brazilian musician Joao Gilberto died this week. Outside the country he was best known for The Girl from Ipanema but at home he was legendary as one of the founders of the Bossa Nova. Brazilians Fernando Duarte and Luis Barrucho discuss his legacy and the reaction to his death.
