‘Putting everything on the line’ for her students
Norma Garcés is the Executive Director of El Colegio High School in Minneapolis. Almost all the students at the small school are Latino or of indigenous descent and many have family members who are unauthorized immigrants. For them, fear of deportation and family separation is a daily reality. But Garces and her school are ready for the immigration agents.
