RSPCA tells MPs about 'awful' cruelty cases
Animal welfare groups have urged Parliament to get on with increasing the maximum jail sentences for cruelty to animals from six months in jail to five years.
They shared some distressing cases with MPs and said animal abuse was on the increase - with perpetrators sharing their exploits on social media.
