Empowering disability in the workplace
We ask whether big companies are doing enough to enable workers who have disabilities
We ask whether big companies are doing enough to enable workers who have disabilities. We meet people at the Clarity soap and bath products factory in London, where 80% of employees have a disability. Caroline Casey is a social entrepreneur and founder of the Valuable 500, who explains how she's persuading businesses around the world to commit to putting disability inclusion on the agenda at company board level. And Jill Houghton, chief executive of Disability IN, a non-profit organisation based in Washington DC, tells us how her organisation helps companies make their workplaces more inclusive. Also in the programme, 106m customers of Capital One have had their personal details exposed in the latest big hack attack. AnnaMaria Andriotis reports on credit cards for the Wall Street Journal and brings us the details. Plus the Chinese technology giant Huawei says its sales rose more than a fifth, in spite of being at the centre of trade tensions between China and the United States. Our Asia business correspondent discusses the firm's latest results.
