How a husky pack helped me overcome depression
Dave Finney鈥檚 life has been transformed by looking after and racing husky dogs. He and his canine companions are dryland mushing champions in Ireland.
As a teenager Dave had been bullied and as he grew older, his life spiralled out of control. He became addicted to drugs and alcohol, and suffered from depression. It was when Dave saw an advert for a husky puppy that he reassessed his life. He brought King home, and not long after, adopted more dogs. The pup became a pack - Khya, Titan, Tazmin, Spirit, Koa, Eli, and Phantom. Outlook's 脕ine Gallagher went to meet them.
