'I've been confined to my house and my mother has been detained'
There have been sporadic protests in Indian-administered Kashmir over the government's decision to strip the area of its special status.聽
That's despite a heavily-enforced curfew with soldiers lining the streets of the largest city, Srinagar. Phones and internet have been shut down,聽and several Kashmiri politicians have been put under house arrest including a former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti.聽
Mufti's daughter Iltija Javed, who doesn't know where her mother is, spoke to the 大象传媒 via recorded voice messages.
