Blade runner to stand-up comic
He’s proven himself against the best in the world – winning two gold medals in sprint events at the 2016 Paralympics in Rio. Liam Malone, a 25 year old from New Zealand, took just three years to become the best, but now he’s set himself a new goal. After announcing his retirement from blade running, he’s trying his hand at something new by debuting a 60 minute stand-up show at the largest arts festival in the world, the Edinburgh Fringe in Scotland. Kate Gregan went to watch him.
